Job Summary

As the company’s first 3D graphics engineer, you’ll be in charge of the hand-over and transformation of ShapeScale’s 3D body scans from the computer vision pipeline to the user-facing front-end on web and mobile. You’ll work side-by-side with Shape’s computer vision and software engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizing the RGBD generated computer vision output to produce the UV map correctly (atlas parametrization, texturing)
  • Working on 3D effects such as texturing and lighting around the generated 3D body models
  • Rigging 3D body scans involving work on 3D modeling and visualization
  • Presenting the fully processed 3D body model through a user-facing front-end (using WebGL, or potentially OpenGL or Metal on iOS)

Skills/Requirements

  • BS/MS in CS, Engineering, Mathematics with a preference for computer graphics, image processing, and/or computer vision
  • Experience with 3D algorithms and math, especially in 3D mesh manipulation, computational geometry, and linear algebra
  • Experience with 3D animation, modeling, texturing
  • Well versed in either Kotlin, Java, Swift/Objective-C and/or JavaScript (Three.js)
  • Extensive 3D Graphics knowledge (webGL, OpenGL and/or Metal)
